Star Whitening is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Our privacy policy will observe and comply with the rules set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for all data we collect.

This policy, in combination other applicable policy documents and our Terms, sets out the foundational basis on which any personal data is collected from you and will be processed, used and stored.

We are committed to protecting your privacy with any data that has been collected and will not share with any 3rd parties.

Information we may collect about you

During your treatment you will be asked to fill out a health form where we will also identify your teeth shade before and after. We may also collect information about you and / or your visits to our website in the following ways:

  • Information that you provide to us when completing forms on our website
  • Records of correspondence if you contact us
  • Survey data that you might volunteer to us on request
  • We may also collect technical and statistical information relating to your visit or visits to our site for statistical purposes, including the following:
  • Traffic data
  • Locational information
  • IP address
  • Operating system and browser type

This statistical information is used to acquire relevant information. The collection of cookie information will not provide any personal information relating to individuals.

How we store your personal data

Data is stored in accordance with the security requirements of the GDPR. Personal information provided by way of our online contact forms is not stored in any database other than our email servers. Completed teeth whitening forms are made electronic and stored securely.

Using your personal data

We use information held about you in the following ways:

  • To help us deliver content from our site in the most effective format for you and your chosen platform.
  • To provide you with any information, products or services that you have requested from us, or that we feel may be of interest to you, provided you have provided specific consent for us to contact you in this way.

  • We will only use your personal data for the purposes to which you have specifically agreed. In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to opt in to having your personal data used and processed for marketing purposes, and we will only use your data for this purpose with your express approval.

Disclosure of your personal data

We will only disclose your personal information to third parties:

  • If Star Whitening sells or buys any business or assets, in which case your personal data may be disclosed to the prospective buyer or seller.
  • If Star Whitening is acquired by a third party, under which circumstances personal client data it holds will be considered as a transferred asset.
  • If FSE is required by legal obligation to disclose or share your personal information. This includes the disclosure of information to other companies and organisations for purposes of fraud protection and the reduction of credit risk.

The GDPR provides you with the right to access the personal information that we hold about you. Star Whitening reserves the right to subject any access request to a reasonable fee in order to meet the administrative costs of providing you with the information.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Media

If you upload images to the website or send via email or whatsapp, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
